lo-fi
Women
Sometimes light and spacious, at other times eerie and dense with an ominous weight, this self titled album touches upon Velvet Underground, The Zombies or This Heat while not really having any obvious precursors – a lo-fi masterpiece cloaked in layers of vibrato and guitar wash.
Casiotone for the Painfully Alone
lo-fi electronic goodness constructed w/ cheap casio keyboards - plain spoken, yet deep lyrics - perfect for that mellow introspective mood
White Dust Child
White Dust Child is super cooooool. It was started by high school senior Edward Yost to express his status after living homeless in the forest for a week. The two songs he wrote ponder the struggles of homeless and/or solitary and detached life, physically and philosophically. He is living at home again by Order of the State of Maryland and his mom.
