the tenth release from vancouver-based 'the dirty spoons'. this one is a bit of a departure from their regular noise/ambient electronic stuff, being a mix of processed samples based around toys and children's instruments.

you can't put em in a box - what genre to select? - folksy for sure - their slam poetry style brings a strong hip hop influence, but lacks its heavy beats - their intense lyrics are brash and thought provoking - i really dig the track: Grafitti Sex

minimalist yet not at all boring - drawing from psychedelic and post-punk eras with throbbing rhythms, hammond organs, and searing guitars - thinking sonic youth mating w/ fat momma cass - sorry if you're picturing that in your mind right now - ok no i'm not
