The National

I saw them live this evening: sold out, incredible show. Lead singer seemed bashful and awkward between songs, often keeping his back to the audience, but would quake with passion and emotion while performing. The audience was giddy, into the performance, and the band was clearly feeding off this. Standout songs were Fake Empire and Mr. November, which they closed with.

Kind of mellow, but intense at the same time. I needed to listen to their albums more than once b4 I liked them, then I listened to them back to back to back.
One of my favorite finds of 2007.
