Beauty through strange circumstance: a wrist injury and a European trip have produced such such an interesting sound. Zach Condon's inability to grasp a guitar neck led him to play ukulele, and after dropping out of high school to tour Europe he became influenced by Balkan gypsy music. Luck aside, Zach's sultry voice, songwriting craft, and multi-instrument musical skill complete the package.

you can't put em in a box - what genre to select? - folksy for sure - their slam poetry style brings a strong hip hop influence, but lacks its heavy beats - their intense lyrics are brash and thought provoking - i really dig the track: Grafitti Sex

Sufjan is a master songwriter and multi-instrumentalists (proficient on over 20 instruments). His music is highly experimental and difficult to pigeon hole into any specific genre, although folk is seems a good fit to me.
